Okay so here's the update since getting back from MN. It was GREAT seeing all of you at Excel. It really made our weekend that you guys would take time out of your weekend to come see us! Thank you all!
Monday I had my callback for Priceline. Wow.. what an experience. I got there and there were already about 10 people there practicing their moves outside. Some of the top martial artists in the world were there. The guys from Sideswipe (of america's got talent fame) were all there and a few other working stuntmen in Hollywood were there as well. Our job was to learn a short fight scene to perform in front of the casting directors. When it was my turn to show my stuff, I went into a SMALL room with a camera and a table with 4 very important looking people waiting to see how i would do. Talk about nerve racking. I have performed for over 10,000 before but that's nothing compared to the pressure of a big budget commercial callback. I nailed my fight scene and they seemed very pleased. I left the callback with no regrets knowing that I did my absolute best. Now I await a call to find out if I booked it. If I didn't I won't hear anything at all. The hardest part is waiting and being at the mercy of the "suits" that make the final call. Sometimes it comes down to the smallest of details. Hopefully I have the right look for the commercial. It's wednesday and usually by now I would have heard something so I am assuming that I didn't get it but I can't be sure of that until Friday because the commercial starts shooting on Monday.
Today I worked on a student film for a few hours as "scorpion" from mortal kombat for a short greenscreen scene that I filmed with a friend of mine that was "sub zero". After that I went straight to a taco bell audition. I have always wanted to audition for a taco bell commercial and I got my chance today! It was a lot of fun and the commercial will end up being really funny.
Lemays- thanks so much for the kind words. It's always uplifting and motivating to read comments like yours!
More to come everyone :)
