Moh-mentum

Hey everyone, sorry for the long delay. I have been very busy with work among other things. I think I have started to gain a little momentum out here in Los Angeles. I am making a lot of great connections through people I meet at XMA that are working actors, stuntpeople, and directors and stunt coordinators. I have been teaching a lot at XMA and I almost forgot how much I love teaching martial arts and working with people. Although the XMA studio is pretty cool, the students at Excel can never be beaten out in my mind. I wish I could still work with all of the excel students!

I had an audition for a cars.com commercial that was looking for a "karate guy". It sounded perfect but they needed someone tall so I don't think I didn't get a callback. However on Monday I am auditioning for a priceline.com commercial where they need real Taekwondo martial artists. That should be a good audition for me. I will be working on a student film as Scorpion from the mortal kombat game in a short fight scene in a comedy. That should be pretty fun because it will be done in front of a green screen.

I have also started work on the movie "The Legend of Zu" that will start filming in January. I have been helping the cast with some martial arts training and the director of the film is possibly going to use me for another film he's doing next month. The Legend of Zu is a non-union film but the other one he's doing is a union film so he said he might be able to "Taft-Hartley" me into the screen actors guild (SAG- "The Union"). That just means that the director can write a letter on my behalf to join SAG, which can take many actors years and years of trying to do. If that happens it would be a GREAT thing!

Richelle is rockin' and rolling at her job. She is heading to London for work in a few weeks. Luckily she gets to go with her dad so she won't be alone like she was in China a few weeks back. We are so excited to finally head back home to MN together. I know that a lot of you will be out of town but if you're in town we will be at Excel all day working with the demo team so please stop in and say hi! Stevens and Hornilla family we are so bummed we'll miss you guys. We hope you guys have a great break!
