Phirst time in Phoenix

I was up at 4am this morning. It was awesome... not really. But the reason why I was up was pretty cool. I took a short 1 hr flight to Phoenix this morning to do a photo shoot for Kono Magazine. I shot 2 sections of the mag: A "How-to" on the 540, and "Supermoves". I initially wanted to do a move called a cartwheel full-twisting round kick but I tried it once outside on location on the concrete and it didn't go so well. Landed right on my arm... Still hurts! So... I went to a different move: the double leg. The shoot was a lot of fun and I can't wait for you guys to see the pics we got. Some of them were really awesome.

Yesterday I had an audition for a film called "Fight for Love" directed by John Singleton of "Boyz in the Hood" fame and starring Tyrese Gibson (Transformers, Transformers 2). I read for the casting director and she is bringing me back for a callback on Tuesday to read for the director and the producers! I am happy that I did a good job with it and it was funny because at the casting office you could hear every other person auditioning over the walls so it was very interesting to hear what the other actors were doing. Some.. let's just say, didn't make the right choices on the material. Needless to say I will be preparing for this callback all weekend. I am also happy because it gives my agency more great feedback about my performance, which in turn, gets them more excited about pitching me for other projects.

It's been a pretty stressful week for Richelle at Mattel. They are cutting costs and they let go a LOT of people yesterday including her boss and 5 members of her team. Thankfully she was not let go. I just hope that the transition to her new "post-apocolypse" workplace is a smooth one.
