I'm Alive!

Thank you Stevens Family for reminding me I had a blog! Sometimes my mind tends to wander and I lose track of things. However it is nice to sit down and reflect on the past month.

Last weekend, Mrs. Moh and I had one of the most fun, imaginative, and educational outings since we've been in California. We went to the Griffith Park Observatory. We learned a ton about the universe and space and we saw an AMAZING show in the nation's nicest planetarium. It really put things in perspective for me. It also is very humbling to know that our world is just a tiny spec of dust (maybe not even that big) in the scope of the entire universe. If you're ever in Los Angeles, you MUST go to the Griffith Park Obervatory.... MUST!!!

The last few months have been very slow in show business.... for EVERYONE. The actors are preparing for a possible strike so there are not too many auditions at the moment. It's been frustrating but at the same time I need to take this down time and use it to better myself as an actor and in general. It's also given me more time to do more martial arts training which has been really nice. Sometimes I forget how I ended up here in Los Angeles in the first place, and in the end it all boils down to my love of the martial arts. Without martial arts, my life would be very different. Needless to say, no matter where my current career path leads, I will always be a student and teacher of martial arts.

In other news, I did some voice work on Kamen Rider and it was really fun to work on.. but the best part of it was that I got to see a lot of my scenes for the show and also in general. I have a strong feeling that this show is gonna be the next big thing. Of course I am biased but I saw a good portion of one of the episodes that was fully completed and I was amazed at how awesome it was. From being on set to watching the finished product it is like night and day. If Jerry Bruckheimer produced a kids TV show, this is what it would look like. I can't wait for you guys to see it in February!

Also, check this out: www.xmahq.com

There's a video of a test commercial that I shot a while. The director was going for an animalistic feel, hense the wild outfit. Hope you like it!

Thanks for the update! Business is slow everywhere, unfortunately! Always good to have options, though. You are such a wonderful teacher, your students are probably benefitting from your "down" time!
The kids think you need a cool nickname like the other martial arts dudes do. Cam's suggests Mohgo Yo! The girls say they will put a little thought into it and get back to you. They love the video of you on the XMA site, very cool.
Olivia just got her red belt! (Bren has her's and Cam is at purple) The girls are still going strong in dance as well. Let us know if you are coming in town this spring- maybe you can come to one of their competitions (they think it would be cool for you to see them performing).
Here's Cam...
Uhm, how are you doin? How are you liking the XMA classes? Have a good time at work.
p.s. You should see my stretch kick now!
Here's Livi...
We got stability balls to use as our seats in class and we also got a Smart Board for our class. My jazz dance song is "That's Not My Name", have you heard it? It is pretty funky, so is my dance. You would like it.
C-Ya!
Here's Brenna...
I am getting taller this year. My mom says she can barely brush my hair anymore. Our hair is much shorter now though. Olivia and I cut off 10 inches each and donated it to Locks of Love for child cancer patients. It makes it easier to get ready everyday, but now we have to grow it out for dance again.
Hope to see you soon!

Well, that's all we got for now!
Take care,
The Stevens

Hi guys!

Just wanted to let you know that Alex and Eric haven't forgotten about you. It's just that Alex has lost his computer privileges until his grades improve. He did sneak online and check your blog just a few minutes ago, though, and he said that you were doing some stop motion stuff, so I wanted to check it out.

We just got back from Nationals and a long vacation at DisneyWorld. Alex got 3rd in sparring, but otherwise, neither of the boys placed. His first match was pretty impressive, though - a quick 2 point kick to the head and another 3 pointer to the head and it was over. He had good instincts as a sparrer - he just needs to work a bit harder. The competition's much harder now that he's in the BB 14-16 ring. And Eric's in the 11-13. Both the youngest in their rings, so it's much more challenging.

Anyway, glad to hear that you're still enjoying what you do, even when it's slow. Enjoy the peace while it lasts; things always change. That's what makes it interesting. :-)
