The latter part of the title happened to me today! I got an audition call for a panasonic commercial that shoots in Japan and they were looking for "gymnasts". I was never a real gymnast but I faked it and everything went well until they asked me to show something gymnastic-ey without flipping. At that moment I said to myself "uh oh i only know how to flip" so i just did a handstand, rolled onto my shoulders and did a kip up. It would have worked perfectly, except for the fact that the carpet under me slipped and i ended up on my bum. I shook it off like nothing happened and I was on my way.
As much as I always want things to go great, I know that sometimes you fall on your butt and there's nothing you can do about it. I just chalk it up to another funny story I can tell and I feel grateful that I had the opportunity and will get another chance to audition for other jobs.
Please let me know how all of you are doing! I love reading emails/comments from you guys to find out how you are all doing.
Mr. and Mrs. Moh,
ReplyDeleteWelcome home and how was your trip, Mrs. Moh? Please post pictures.
Mr. Moh, remember that in your new industry things get intense way too fast, so a drop on the bum is God's way of making sure you have a laugh now and then. Do a sommersault and yell "TADA!!!" at the top of your lungs and put it to rest.
I suggest heading home to your Minneapolis family soon - I'd secretly contact all the parents to make certain the gang is all home and I'd dress up and Christmas carol them or make a personal visit from Mr. and Mrs. Claus. Wait, these are good ideas - you best swing through Bismarck on the way ;)
Corey is having his golden birthday today. They didn't have school so Curt and I took off work and spent the day celebrating. We now have 9 friends here for a slumber party. It is fun - but I might need a Red Bull soon - haha.
Take care and hugs to you both!
Love,
The Helms
