Feeling Hollywood

Wow. What a day! This morning I got up, prepared my headshots, resume, and demo reel and got dressed for my meeting with AQUA talent agency in Hollywood at noon. I gave myself about 45 minutes to get there and traffic was pretty heavy today so I got there just in time. I met with one of the founding partners of the firm and he told me about the business and how I could make my mark starting out in commercials. AQUA is a commercial agency that is relatively small and new. The meeting went great and they offered me representation. Little did I know that my first ever audition would take place literally an hour after my meeting! My agent sent me to an audition for the new Motorola RAZR 2 phone. I was shocked and excited at the same time. I didn't have time to go back home to get dressed for the part so I just went in what I had on. The audition consisted of me doing a mixture of fluid movements and martial arts so I just did a bunch of tricks and kicks and they seemed to be impressed. They were looking for a young and hip man and woman with martial arts or a dance background to star in this national commercial. I was pretty calm and collected considering it was my first audition. I feel really good about it and although I don't think I will book the role I do think that this was a great first audition that I can build upon. If I do book it, well then I will have a lot to celebrate!

Today was an amazing day running around Hollywood, I look forward to many more days like today! Well tomorrow we head to Vegas for the martial arts supershow for 3 days. I'll update again when we get back!

I miss you guys!

  1. Hey Mr. Hollywood! It's pretty cool that we can 'live vicariously' thru you as you seek your fame! Have fun in Vegas. Win some $$ too! It's pretty hot there right now, isn't it? Enjoy that 115 deg!

No Hornillas in the in-school, unfortunately. We had to do a quick trip to Chicago to visit a sick aunt. Actually, it may be some time before we do any tournaments....these black belts need a break and want to learn their forms a bit more (more Joey than the other 2 of course!)

    HAPPY 4th of July. It's JILLIAN's birthday!! And she's 4 now (so it's her GOLDEN b-day).

Rielly and Mizelle want you to know that "WE MISS YOU 2 A LOT!!!" Rielly is off to Cheerleading Camp on Friday for 4 days, staying at Territorial Hall at the U. She wants to know if you guys remember her "Make Banana/Peel Banana -- Form the Mullet/Mess the Mullet" warm-up/cheer!!?! LOL!!!!

Thanks for the updates. Take care.
. . . waiting to see you on TV soon!

    love,

  4. Good Luck from all of us. We all know the both of you will do just fine. If anyone two people can achive there dream it is the two of you as you have alot to offer. Maggie has learned a great deal from the both of you. She misses you both. I do not regret enrolling her in ATA. I have tried another place before ATA but she was not happy. When she met the two of you she changed and really enjoyed it.Right now she is at low point though because she broke both of her wrist in a bike accident and will not be able to attend classes for awhile. We will see if she still have it into after this. We are glad you enjoy California. It is a beauitful place and the weather is nice. Good luck to the both of you and be safe.
